Life

You have been brought here because the Universe understands that you have been quietly calling for answers to the questions all human ask. What is really going on here in this life and what will happen when this life is over? Will we be reunited with loved ones who’ve gone before? Will God be there to greet us? Will it be Judgment Day? Will we be allowed to squeak into heaven? Will we even know what’s going on after we die? Will anything be going on?

Wrapped in the replies to these inquiries are enormous implications for every human being. Would we live our lives any differently if we actually had those answers? I think we would. Would we be less afraid to live as we were always intended to live – fearlessly and love fully – if we were less afraid to die? I believe the answer is yes.

It hurts my heart to know that so many people feel frightened as they approach their time of passing into the next world, to say nothing of when they are in this one. Life was meant to be a constant joy and death is a time of even greater joy, when it would be wonderful if all people could know only peace and happy anticipation...

Mom had an unshakable faith that she was stepping into the arms of God. She knew what life was about and she knew what death was not about. Life was about giving all that you had to all that you loved, without hesitation, without question, without limitation. Death was not about anything closing down, but about everything opening up...

Excerpt from “Home with God: In a Life That Never Ends”
By Neale Donald Walsch

I always ask myself the question: what is the meaning of life? Why my life full of misfortune while others’ path is so straight and full of happiness?

Superfoods

"Superfoods" are foods that are closest to their natural state such as fresh fruits and vegetables and other raw foods. These foods have higher nutrient values than processed food. Here are some examples:

Goji berries — goji berries have been linked to healthy, clear skin, protecting the immune system, anti-aging, reduction of body aches and lower blood cholesterol and triglycerides. They contain 18 kinds of amino acids, including all 8 essential amino acids, up to 21 trace minerals, high amounts of antioxidants, iron, polysaccharides, B & E vitamins and many other nutrients.

Acai – in its natural state, this berry has strong anti-oxidant properties. The acai berry is also packed with essential omega fats and amino acids. Acai can improve energy, help weight loss, balance hormones and also make skin glow.

Cacao ( raw chocolate) – it has the worlds best source of antioxidants, magnesium, iron, manganese and chromium. Raw chocolate helps improve cardiovascular health, builds strong bones. It is also natural aphrodisiac. It can help to elevate mood and energy and also increase longevity.

Maca — it is grown in the Peruvian Andes for thousands of years. This plant is packed with nutrients. It is also famous for its ability to increase energy and libido. In addition, it is able to naturally balance female hormones, increase bone strength, help to regulate menstrual cycles and reduce cramping and PMS symptoms.

Self hypnosis

Self hypnosis is a form of hypnosis which is self-induced and normally makes use of self-suggestion  (autosuggestion).
Under this state of mind, one's focus and concentration is heightened. The individual is able to concentrate intensely on a specific thought or memory while blocking out all possible sources of distraction.

For some people, self hypnosis is extremely easy and requires very little effort. Others may need to experiment a bit more to reap the wonderful benefits it can bring.

Self hypnosis can involve a little bit of trial and error at the beginning until you start to identify the conditions that best suit you as an individual. Variables such as the ideal body position or the most opportune time of day are truly yours to determine based on your particular situation, schedule and individuality. Everyone is unique. There are however a few elements which will help increase your degree of success with self hypnosis, regardless of individual needs. A fairly obvious requirement is total relaxation, which usually requires reduced distractions. So it is very important to try and find a quiet place that limits or completely obliterates outside sources and choose a time when you are certain you won’t be interrupted.

Knowing that hypnosis is in fact an altered state on consciousness. Pick a time of day when you are slowing down or starting to feel fatigued.

Using a recording is great for self hypnosis. One key factor in getting the most out of a recorded self hypnosis session is regular listening. Repetition is the key to successful suggestion and the more you subject your mind to the message, the more it will penetrate and impact.

If you go into it with a clear open mind and you are willing to invest the time to find your ideal hypnosis conditions, you can literally reap the benefits of self hypnosis on a fairly regular basis.

There are many benefits to using self hypnosis. It can be used to overcome fears, fight addictions such as smoking, improve confidence, self esteem, sports performance or just about anything you want in life.

Virtually everyone has been programmed from childhood with negatives that make him believe that he can’t do things that he’s innately capable of doing, for example. A lot of these is in fact self-imposed programming.

By using self hypnosis with autosuggestion and positive affirmations,  a negative self-confidence cycle, say, can be completely reversible.

Heart murderer

The culprit of coronary heart disease is trans fats.

The molecular structure of unsaturated fatty acid is called "cis fat” with all hydrogen atoms on one side. Under high pressure, during the process of hydrogenation, hydrogen atoms are on the opposite side and it becomes “trans fat". This structure allows oil in liquid form to change into solid form and it can extend its shelf life as well as tasting better. This also happens during frying process.

As a result, nowadays, many snacks available in the market, instant noodles, bread, cakes, vegetable oil (such as canola, soybean, corn, peanut oil, etc.), butter and other foods contain trans fats.

Then what are the effects of trans fats?

A study found out that the intake of a very low amount of trans fats can cause people suffer from coronary heart disease. In the United States, every year, about 30,000-100,000 people die of heart disease and this can be attributed to the consumption of trans fats. The consumption of trans fats increases the risk of coronary heart disease by raising levels of LDL cholesterol and lowering levels of "good" HDL cholesterol.

A 14-year study on 12 million nurses indicated that for every 2% increase in trans fat consumption, a 194% increase in the risk of coronary heart disease.

Another study for more than 5 years on 21,930 people also found that there is high correlation between trans fats and coronary heart disease. But no such relationship found with unsaturated fat, saturated fat or cholesterol.

In addition, it was found that the intake of trans fats will worsen the case of Alzheimer's disease and for every 2% increase in calories obtained from trans fats, a 72% increase in the risk of ovulatory dysfunction. And the correlation between cancer and fats is not due to the animal fats, but due to vegetable oil containing trans fats.

And so be careful about trans fats!
