Walking

A study published by the New England Journal Of Medicine found that both walking and vigorous exercise are associated with substantial reductions in the incidence of cardiovascular events among postmenopausal women while prolonged sitting increased cardiovascular risk.

In fact, brisk walking for more than 3 hours a week can lower the risk of stroke, type 2 diabetes and breast cancer. About a 30% to 40% reduction in the risk of cardiovascular disease can be attained with mere 30 minutes in walking a day.

In addition, walking burns calories and helps weight loss. It can also help to improve our posture.

This is a cheap exercise with no special equipment required while there is no risk of injuries.
